Considered by many, in the fields of nightclub and entertainment industries, as one of the newcomers in the Puerto Rican nightlife scenery since his return in 2006, DJ Phred has proven to be one of the hottest and best nightclub deejays in Puerto Rico, and he is ready for more.

Being favored by many local and foreign partygoers, DJ Phred has stayed true to his DJ roots, by preserving his live mixing techniques, unique music blends, and playing the music people want to listen. "My mission as a DJ is to create an unique experience, where people can forget about their daily routines for a few hours, and dance away into the night celebrating life, love and happiness with the music that I mix." With that in mind, he is now ready to take his talents to new heights.

DJ Phred, also known as Alfredo Yordán Sifre, was born in the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico on September 3, 1976. His passion for music started at an early stage in life, but his true first encounter with the world of "djing" and the art of beat matching came in the summer of 1988 thanks to his brother. As most deejays at that time, he started as a bedroom DJ and then moved on to the mobile deejay scenery. In his case, he began this journey at the beginning of the 1990's. Since then, he has gained a lot of experience tackling the toughest events and most demanding clientele to a point where he felt he was ready to pursue the nightclub scenery.

His nightclub deejay career started in late 1994 thanks to the help of friend and colleague, who at that time was a well-known resident DJ of a premier nightclub in Puerto Rico. In the spring of 1997, he earned his first DJ residency on Thursday nights at the Voodoo Lounge. After that, he appeared as guest DJ in other well-known nightclubs and bars at that time, such as Club Millennium, Planetarium, Club Babylon, Area 51, The Bomb and Coaches Sports Bar.

In the winter of 2004, his deejay career took a stall due to health problems; he was diagnosed with cancer. "The cancer literally changed my life forever, in every aspect of who I was. It tried to shut me down, but I wasn't ready to give up." After a two-year struggle with the illness, he finally was in remission and decided to return to the spotlight.

Since his return in January 2006, he has been focusing on his professional DJ career, performing in premium events and gaining reputable residencies in the best nightclubs venues and hottest premium events across Puerto Rico. Some of his former DJ residencies include: Eternal Lobby Lounge, The Rose Club, Club BRAVA & Ultra Lounge , and Blue Martini San Juan. He has performed in prestigious premium events for Destileria Serralles with the Don Q Rum brand, the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot - MUSIC FACTORY Pre-Concert Series and the "San Sebastian in Miami Party Block Festival" in Miami, Florida.

The aftermath of hurricane María in 2017, and current the situation with the COVID19 pandemic have affected the Puerto Rican entertainment industry in ways never seen before. As of October 2021, most entertainment venues are reopening, adapting new safety guidelines, and complying with government restrictions to prevent new outbreaks. Currently, DJ Phred is back at his DJ residency at Piso Viejo, calle Loía performing on Wednesday and Saturday nights. Also, he has performed on several entertainment venues as guest DJ.
